Dancing Skies new

The Northern Lights have to be one of the most magical natural wonders to witness. As I celebrated Lauren’s Cows 10 year anniversary I invited you all to send in your ideas for a Lauren’s Cows painting like no other and one idea really caught my imagination.

‘Ever since I could remember, my lovely, cow and nature loving mum, has been fascinated by the northern lights. My idea for a beautiful bespoke Lauren’s cows painting is this: In an icy landscape, beneath the bright and magical glow of the aurora borealis, a rugged and matted wild cow captured against the breathtaking nights sky. I picture her with the vivid colours of the sky reflected in her gentle eyes. If I were to win this competition, the painting would be for her!’

I just couldn’t get the idea out of my head. I just love the outcome, especially the Highland looking up at the sky enjoying the magical light show. I missed the Arora Borielis on my trip to Iceland, so it was wonderful to capture it in another way.

No computer image can rival this art print on the wall, the inky blues, rich purples with those brilliant waves of teal and electric green dotted with tiny sparkling stars. It’s truly a piece to get lost in.
